Geoffrey Richards became a governor of the School in 2013 and has been Vice-Chairman since March 2018. He is a retired solicitor, a trustee of various charities, a company director and a regular attender of Showcase concerts. He enjoys music (including opera) and is a committed and regularly disappointed supporter of his local football club in Fulham. He is a passionate believer in the value of the exercise by the UK of its soft power and sees our schools (not least those in the MDS) and universities as national assets to be treasured and supported. Geoffrey is a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Governor.
