Miho Kawashima
London-based Japanese pianist Miho Kawashima has captivated audiences across the UK and Europe with her performances as both a soloist and chamber musician. In London, her concerts include prestigious venues such as the Royal Festival Hall, Wigmore Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, and St. Martin-in-the-Fields. Among her notable projects is the critically acclaimed recording of Brahms' "16 Waltzes" with pianist Emmanuel Despax, released for Signum Classics (“It is impossible not to be enamoured of this performance” - Classical Explorer).
Miho is a graduate of the Yehudi Menuhin School, the Royal College of Music, and the Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg, where she studied under the mentorship of renowned teachers Ruth Nye MBE and Pavel Gililov. A dedicated chamber musician and pedagogue, she has a particular expertise in string/piano duo repertoire. Currently, she serves as a staff pianist at the Yehudi Menuhin School and is on the faculty of prestigious masterclass courses for young musicians.
