Summer School 2025

This year, we are proud to host our first ever residential Summer School.

Led by the music staff of YMS, it will feature:

• Instrumental lessons
• Concerts (both for participants and given by guest artists)
• Chamber music
• Orchestra
• Choir
• Academic music
• Workshops on wellbeing and exam preparation

Participants will have the opportunity to learn and perform alongside a talented group of like-minded young people and enjoy a taste of what life is like as a pupil here. Students will leave the programme not only as better musicians but also with newfound confidence, collaboration skills, and lifelong memories.

The course will be held exclusively onsite at our campus in leafy Surrey with its purpose-built 300-seat concert hall and state-of-the-art teaching studios, along with plentiful leisure facilities including a tennis court and indoor swimming pool.

The course is designed for children aged 11 to 16 with a minimum standard of Grade 5 (ABRSM or equivalent) on any of the following instruments:

• Violin, viola, cello, double bass
• Harp
• Classical guitar
• Piano

Places are available on both a residential and non-residential basis.
