  • Pianists will have the chance to explore piano duo repertoire, broadening their musical horizons through collaboration and performance.
  • String players will have access to staff pianists for individual practice sessions with accompaniment.

*Depending on final number of participants.

Chamber Music, Orchestra & Choir

Every student will be involved in chamber music sessions, working with fellow musicians in small groups to develop collaboration, ensemble playing, and interpretation skills.

String players will take part in an orchestral project, providing them with the invaluable experience of playing in a large ensemble, fostering teamwork and musicianship.

In addition to instrumental studies, all participants will join the choir, engaging in vocal ensemble work and learning the art of choral performance.

General Musicianship & Seminars

Each student will receive lessons in General Musicianship, covering essential topics such as aural skills, listening and harmony.

The course will also include additional talks on topics such as preparation for auditions and exams, managing performance anxiety and general wellbeing, with the aim of supporting students' emotional and mental health during their musical journey.

Students will benefit from sessions in Alexander Technique with a dedicated tutor, helping them develop posture and movement skills that are crucial for healthy and sustainable musical practice.

Performances & Concerts

Students will enjoy performances by visiting artists, including celebrated former students of the school who now have flourishing musical careers.

The course will culminate in a final ensemble concert, held in our 300-seat venue, the Menuhin Hall. The finale will feature performances from soloists, the orchestra and choir, giving every student the chance to celebrate their progress.
